Cookies
We might use cookies to store your personal preferences on how you want to use the website (e.g. Dark vs Light mode). These cookies will not be shared with other sites and only used to improve your experience.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Who we share your data with
If you have subscribed to our newsletter or if you have registered to an event through our website, there is a good chance you will receive emails from us.
We will only send you emails which you have signed up to receive, or which pertain to the services we provide to you.
To send you emails, we use the name and email address you provide us. Our site also logs the IP address you used when you signed up for the service to prevent abuse of the system.
This website sends emails through the MailPoet sending service. While this service allows us to track opens and clicks on our emails, we do not use this and do not include tracking information in our emails.
We use Eventbrite for registering our attendees. We do not configure any tracking of users in Eventbrite.
How long we retain your data
For users that register on our website (e.g., for a newsletter or for an event), we store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their own personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have registered on this site (e.g., for a newsletter or for an event), you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
